Streamy 4.0
Streamy, imagined by tigrette, is a media recorder. Run streamy, use the Streamy embedded browser, watch your favorite Streams, see them downloaded, drag and drop them to your media player and play them on your iPod. Stay tuned near September for the official Streamy 4.0, and maybe even before !

Forums

A lot of users have reported sites known to work with Streamy, J*wa and YouT*be in particular. The D**zer coding team has made an excellent job and audio streams are sent as 400Kb packets. Only the first only is clear; the other ones are AES encrypted. The only reasonable solution is to patch the incoming Flash SWF to fetch the decrypted network audio chunks passed to flash.media.Sound.load(..). I let this challenge to the Open Source community. It is far beyond the scope of this "network recorder" software. Download "Audacity" on sourceforge.net to record audio or surf on J*wa, whose streams are pure raw MP3 with standard bitrate. Have fun.

An Open Discussion forum is available. Feel free to discuss ergonomy, to ask for features and to report working sites.

PS: Note to system administrators managing HTTP1.1 keep-alive company proxies. The Streamy3.3 StreamyServlet instance requests can be traced with few false positives using the sentinel HTTP Header "Via: 1.1 (jetty)".
Streamy downloaded

Streamy has reached the 20000 downloads on July 2009. People talk, share and the download rate keeps increasing. Thanks for your confidence :)
